The numbered sequence is a memorial viewing order, not a claim about the original placement chronology. For an actual walk, visitors should use the street-map links to account for crossings, access and current conditions.

The firehouse remains an active FDNY house. It is not simply a historical site. Visitors should remember that firefighters continue to work and respond from here every day.
